12-year-old Garnik suffers from Fanconi Anemia which is a rare disease that mainly affects the bone marrow and it results in decreased production of all types of blood cells. Recently, Garnik's situation has gotten worse and he bleeds out of his gums and nose every day. Doctors have said that the only treatment to save Garnik's life is a bone marrow transplant, which is a procedure that unfortunately is not done in Armenia. The closest place Garnik can get the treatment at is in Germany, yet his family cannot cover the cost of travel and stay there. To get there and complete his treatment, Garnik's family needs $25,000.
