Help Me Complete A Semester At My University
Campaign viewed 113 times
My name is Ofelya Yesayan, and I am a Business Administration student at SolBridge International School of Business in South Korea. Today, I am asking for help for one reason: I do not want to lose my education when I am this close to completing it.
I was admitted with an 80% scholarship and built my entire university life around one reality, that I had to support myself. My parents have always been my emotional foundation, but they are not in a position to help financially. My father is 72, disabled, and unable to work. My mother is 58 and unemployed. They gave me strength, values, and belief in myself, but continuing my education has always depended on me.
So I worked.
Alongside full-time studies, I took on every opportunity I could: university jobs, leadership roles, and professional work in marketing and content. I paid my rent, my food, my insurance, and for a time, even my tuition. At the same time, I did not just exist at my university, I became part of it.

I served as External Club Union Manager in the Student Council, overseeing 14 clubs and more than 300 students. I organized events, handled logistics, managed budgets, resolved conflicts, and represented students in external affairs. I worked as an Orientation Leader, a speaker, an MC, and supported incoming international students so they could start their journey safely.
I represented Armenia as Country Representative, including during Culture Day, where I organized and led my country’s performance. That moment meant more than just an event, it was carrying my identity into an international space and being trusted to represent where I come from.
I was selected as part of the Woosong Scholars Foundation, recognizing leadership, academic commitment, and contribution to the university community. I represented my university internationally in Kazakhstan, leading workshops and managing teams across multiple cities.
Before this, I was part of the American Leadership Exchange Program in the United States, after being selected through a highly competitive process. I volunteered, studied leadership, and learned how to exist and grow in international environments.
I did everything I could to build something real from my education.
But last semester, reality caught up with me.
Balancing full-time work, leadership responsibilities, and constant financial stress became too much. My GPA dropped slightly, just enough to lose my scholarship. And with that, everything changed.
Now I am facing a tuition fee of $5,000 that I cannot cover alone.
Without this, I will have to stop my studies.
This would not be the first time. I already had to leave the American University of Armenia because of financial difficulties. The thought of this happening again, when I am so close, when I have already built so much, is something I am trying very hard to prevent.
This is not a long-term request.
My plan is clear: after stabilizing this semester, I will take a gap year, return to my country, and work to fully support the rest of my education independently. I am already looking for remote work opportunities that will allow me to rebuild financial stability while continuing my studies.
I am asking for help just this one time, to stay, to continue, and to finish what I started.
I do not want my education to end because of one financial gap.
If you choose to support me, you are not just helping me pay tuition. You are helping me keep years of work, effort, and resilience from being lost.
And for that, I will be deeply, genuinely grateful.
