“DesignRoom” Art Therapy Center in Armenia

Hi, we are happy to present our startup idea to you. We are Muradyan family, Anna and Davit and our children Raffi and Yeva. We want to establish an art therapy center for young Armenian children aged 10-16, and adults who want to get rid of their psychological problems and express themselves through arts. 
 

At “DesignRoom” Art Therapy Center Anna will teach the kids and adults the basics of drawing pictures, basics of design and all the process will include also inclusive education. Anna herself is a certified inclusive educator, and received her certificate from the Education Ministry of Armenia. 
Anna will help those adults who have always wanted to express themselves through arts and drawings/paintings, but don’t have proper education for that. Anna will teach them the basics of drawing and arts to help them to relief the stress and exhaustion through painting. The fees will be affordable for the most of potential clients: Apprx. 7 USD/hour, special offers will be in force for kids with special needs, and pensioners. 
For the future sustainability we also plan to use the facility as a studio for producing “DesignRoom” brand reusable bags/shoppers (with Armenian ornaments on them), special souvenirs like ceramic plates, stones, etc. (with Armenian ornaments on them). 

Sure, there are many arts schools in Armenia now. Our strength is that Anna has many years of experience in teaching arts at a public arts school and has significant achievements with her students.

To bring the idea into life, we bought a facility and drafted a budget for renovation and adaptation of this facility for the needs of arts therapy center. Our estimated budget for the complete renovation of the facility is $15000 (furniture and equipment not included).  We have $3000, it means we need $12000 for completion of our initiative. 
 
We would appreciate every contribution from you. As a bonus, we are offering the following: 

1. Pledge $200-500 and we will give a “DesignRoom” brand ceramic plate with Armenian ornament or decorative letter on it as a gift.

2. Pledge $500-1000 and we will give a “DesignRoom” brand reusable bags with Armenian ornaments, bird letters and decorative letters, etc. on it as a gift.

3. Pledge $1000 or more and we will give a certificate for Art therapy training for one month for one person.
